The Plagues Project

Recommended for:

The Plagues Project is recommended for students in grade 6 and up who want to delve into learning and analyzing the ten Plagues through multiple perspectives by viewing videos of modern Jewish thinkers.  Some videos are lighthearted songs and parodies, while others are textual or linguistic analyses. If you like The Plagues Project, check out the Akeida Project and the Megillah Project.

The Plagues Project is brought to you by a unique partnership of four organizations: jewishLIVE/Judaism Unbound, 929 English, the Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto, and Israel’s BINA: The Jewish Movement for Social Change. Brought together by a passion to make Jewish texts and Jewish learning accessible to everyone, and accelerated by the COVID-19 crisis, these four organizations have teamed up to offer new ways of encountering Jewish text and ideas online using a multimedia toolbox in a maximally open sandbox. The greatest strength of this partnership is our ability to showcase a wide range of Jewish thinkers and Jewish ideas. The more perspectives we hold together, the more united we can be.
